Singapore, planned between meals
A compact city itinerary built around hawker centres, thoughtful hotels, and time to wander.
Singaporefoodcity break
Singapore is compact, but it should not be rushed. Build the day around where you want to eat, then explore the streets and neighbourhoods between those meals.
Tiong Bahru works well in the morning, while Joo Chiat becomes especially pleasant later in the day. A central hotel is useful, but choosing one with a pool and a quiet room matters more than saving a few minutes on the train.
For a first visit, mix familiar landmarks with one locally guided experience. It gives the trip enough structure without losing its sense of discovery.
